Synopsis: Sir Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella is considered the world’s greatest version of this timeless fairy tale. In 2013, Sklute brought it to Utah, making Ballet West the second company in America allowed to perform this sparkling classic, which is filled with romance and comedy. With a visit from her fairy godmother, Cinderella is whisked off to the royal ball for a magical night with the handsome prince. Complete with a profound musical score by Sergei Prokofiev, this classic story is filled with spellbinding dance and hilarious hijinks for the entire family.
What is “Warm Ups”?
Warm Ups is a fun and informative pre-curtain discussion with members of our artistic staff where participants get the inside scoop on the performance and the chance to ask any ballet questions they might have. Warm Ups is free to all ticket holders and will add to your enjoyment and understanding of the performance. Warm Ups are held one hour before each production (except for The Nutcracker and National Choreographic Festival) and is given by a member of the Artistic Staff. Warm Ups lasts about 30 minutes.
Run time: approximately 2 hours with 20 minute intermission (subject to change)
Recommended for ages 8 and up. No babes in arms. All patrons must have a ticket regardless of age. When availability allows, Student and Senior tickets can be purchased the day of the performance for $15.
Late seating will take place through the Overture and will then resume at intermission.
